Figura central na cena de música avant-garde e experimental de Nova Iorque por mais de 30 anos, Elliott Sharp é um compositor, produtor e multi-instrumentista à frente dos projetos Orchestra Carbon, SysOrk, Tectonics e Terraplane com estratégias de composição que englobam geometria fractal, teoria do caos, algorítimos, metáforas genéticas e novas técnicas de notação gráfica para produzir obras que catalizam uma aproximação sinestésica à música bem como funcionam como retinal art.
Sharp compôs trilhas para longa metragens e documentários, criou sound-design para redes de TV como The Sundance Channel, MTV e Bravo, expôs diversas instalações em museus e galerias de arte e é tema do novo documentário "Doing The Don't", de Bert Shapiro.

A central figure in the avant-garde and experimental music scene in New York City for over 30 year, Elliott Sharp is a composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist who leads the projects Orchestra Carbon, SysOrk, Tectonics and Terraplane with compositional strategies encompassing fractal geometry, chaos theory, algorithms, genetic metaphors, and new techniques for graphic notation to yield work catalyzing a synesthetic approach to music as well as functioning as retinal art.
Sharp has composed scores for feature films and documentaries; created sound-design for interstitials on The Sundance Channel, MTV and Bravo networks; has presented numerous sound installations in art galleries and museums. He is the subject of a new documentary "Doing The Don't" by filmmaker Bert Shapiro
