Paolo Tognola (piano)
Began studying piano at the age of four. In 1996 took his classical high school diploma at the Liceo Classico Arnaldo in Brescia, thus being able to attend the university courses on modern and contemporary music of Prof. Maestro G. Borio at the School of Paleography and Musical Philology of Cremona, learning about dodecaphonic and discovering the great composers of the twentieth century. Attends free improvisation seminars and masterclasses, held by Robert Dick and Roscoe Mitchell, Barre Phillips, Gunter Sommer, The Tiptons, Carla Bley, etc. After gaining experience as a season player, decide to indulge his nature and focus on jazz and avant-garde music. In addition to live activity, he composes soundtracks, characterized by the jazz language, for some theatrical companies (The circle of Gesso, La Luna, Racconti, etc ...). He teaches or has taught in the following Music Schools or Academies: L'Ottava Music Art Institute, DodiciNote Academy, Creative Workshop, Solo Musica Music School, Academy of Sounds, Garda Music School, AMM (Concesio BS), Gilles Tosoni Music School, Peschiera Town Music Band School del Garda, Curiosarte Laboratories, ABC Music School. He also writes reviews for “Free Fall Jazz”.
